Although our grants are modest, as a community foundation, we have through donor and other funds given away over $1,700,000 since our inception. The grant committee is composed of board members and members of the community at large. These individuals determine the needs of the community thorugh the years. This Grant Committee changes often to ensure that new ideas are always considered.

We also serve as a conduit between some of our donor funds and other worthy groups and projects. Such groups having projects are encouraged during the year to send us (or fax) a one page summary of their request. Such a request will be forwarded to those funds which may be interested in such projects.

The Grant Guidelines and Form link below is only to be used when ECF is actively soliciting grants. At the current time, we solicit grants based on the cutoff dates of April 1st and October 1st of each year. Grants should be submitted no more than two months before these cutoff dates.

The Sadie Jones Fund is available as a funding resource for children in Lyon and Chase Counties. This fund was established to meet medical needs of these children with special emphasis on providing funds for children with vision and/or hearing needs.
