Becky Nurnberg  |  Executive Director

Becky Nurnberg brings a great deal of talent to the ECF with her experience managing non-profits, fundraising and in leadership development. She has served in a number of roles during her career. Those include being the first woman Regional Representative for the Michigan Farm Bureau, later moving into management for the state organization.  During that time, she was named to represent agriculture on four state/federal commissions by two Governors.  Her next step within the Michigan Farm Bureau Family of Companies was as an insurance agent with her own agency and being recognized for numerous sales awards.  She then moved to Springfield, IL where she served as the Executive Director for the Hispanic Dental Association, a national non-profit, assisting them to become financially stable by obtaining funding from Fortune 500 companies across the US.  She went on to the position of Senior Account Executive for the Sinclair Broadcast Group marketing television and digital products where she led the sales team in both products.
Becky earned her B.S. degree at Ferris State University. She grew to love the Flint Hills of Kansas when she met her special friend, Dan. She has two rescue dogs, plus four horses on his farm/ranch in Chase County. In her spare time, Becky follows her horses in National Reining Horse competition, both cheering from the sidelines and showing both NRHA and Ranch Riding.

After spending a year and a half as the intern for Emporia Main Street, she found a passion for community development and decided she wasn't ready to leave Emporia. In her free time, she enjoys being outside, cooking, watching sports, giraffes, and serving at both Bobby D's and Mulready's.
